20 full days work daily:

I did five phases for the program, each phase at least five days to record and edit.
The first one I did start at 8th March, and finished it and it facing to audiences at 17th March.
The second one starts 24th March, finished and facing to audience at 30th March.
The third one starts 5th April, finished and facing to audience at 9th April.
The fourth starts 15th April, finished and facing to audience at 28th April.
The last one starts at 17th April, now it is finished, but it will be facing to the audience 15th May.

I choose do the radio program in the Internet, because for my future employment guidance, I want do the radio program in china,

I’m the international student from china, in the UK , it is hard to us to find a job and my family all in china, so I want go back home to find a job, it is one reason I choose this program for my professional development.

What is more, because I am in the UK, so it is hard to find a media job related to Chinese, so I find the radio program in the Internet, it is very convenient. With the development of the society, internet becomes an indispensable part of people’s daily life, radio online will become more popular in the future.

For the radio program, in order to attract the audiences, the subject is most important aspect. For my program, the subjects are mood story with some music. Because it is the radio program on the Internet, it is difficult to have the communication with the audience, so the stories have to be wonderful. Moreover, the story can be written by audiences, this idea will forces on the aspect of the promotion. And everyday have the different genre, for instance, romantic, horror.

Attitudes to the audience, the program facing to people 18-30 years, because it is radio program on the Internet, students stand the large percentage to listen to the program. However, the promotion is the hard job, but this idea is new and unique, in order to promote the program, we using facebook to collect the stories written by audiences and there are some rewards to encourage them take part in the program, let them become a part of the program.

It is self-managed project, the team gave me enough freedom to control the program, and senior statesman of the term gave me much help, for instance the professional skills, how to control the time of one program, how to do the program more professional, how to pronounce some difficult Chinese words. This is the wealth this program gives me; it is good help for my future.

For the whole professional work experience, I did five phases for the program, and I want continue to do it in the future. I recording the program and do my part editing, them e-mail other team member add some adverting and head leader of the program. During the process, I relate the study in the UK; make a phase about life of the international students in the UK, USA and Japan, telling the audience our stories. It is hard work, but I believe it is the best one I did. I got touch with other two international students studying in the USA and Japan, e-mail them the question list and asked them recording their answers, them I editing them into a story. Thanks a lot for them help me a lot and finish this program. And finally, I finish my part of the life studying in the UK, and editing together with some music. For other phases, I try my best recommend British pop music into the program and the British culture to Chinese audiences.

Finished these five phases for the program, increased my confidence, let me have a clearly future employment direction with a further affirmation. It is a very wonderful job; I enjoy the process to make it better and better. I feel so proud when I received audiences e-mail, I’m so happy that I can using the program to make wishes to the audiences. Giving blessing to give the audience friends, bring them happiness. Very happy to share abroad to the audience and let those stories of classmate, will soon go abroad can be reference, can get help.

In conclusion, thanks for the program team give me the opportunity to do this job, they give me the sills I have not learn before, and give me much help to do it better. This program makes me think broadcast from our lives so near, first let me put written into practice, first let me feel anchor and the audience is no space. It gives me courage enough in this process; let me have more confidence to the future. However, due to some limitations, I don’t have the chance to real broadcast between the site broadcast, some regret. I will try my best to work hard continue on this road, have more chance to do programs, improve their professional knowledge.

This year almost finished, looking back, everything in my memory. I got many things from here, which cannot describe with the words.

I remember the first time i arrive here from china, the first time go to ETG have the first class, the first time have group meeting, first time meet our teachers, first time to use edrial… There are lots lots things in my mind.
I got knowledge from here; they bring me into the media world. During this year, I know how to make a film, how to write news, how to broadcast news from radio. There are many sections let me get the skills and knowledge about media and journalism, the most important thing is I get much things different in china.

To myself I wonder say thanks to everyone who helps me or let me in trouble, you teach me how to be brave, how to grow up without family. I remember I have cried, feel lonely, did not understand the lecture, and did worse in the course work. However, I never give up; I accept these and ask myself to work hard. Thanks to my dear friends, Yasmin, Natasha, Christina, thank you so much to help me, my English is so poor, but you always listen to me very patiently. Thanks to group 13, Clair, Rebecca, Elena, Helen. You are all in my mind.

The first year finished, no matter how much I got, it is finished. Now there is a new start, I have to work harder and harder. Yes, I will. Let’s start from here. 

In the moudle 122MC, our group ask to do a music video of no longer than three minutes.

We chose the poem ‘Because I Could not Stop for Death’ by Sylvia Plath, as we believed it had the most creative meaning to it

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;

We expriened the reader walking along in the park and there are not anyone else, just walk walk and walk and looking arond.Trees arond her, and there are some memories in her mind. After that our group mate rebecca read the words using the edirol and then put the music in.

Three things that inspired me most and how they affected my approach to my discipline

The third term almost be finished, looking back this year, there are three things that inspired me most. First one is I get a field trip to Zhejiang TV station in my country. I think it is a good chance for me to approach my discipline. It gives me confidence to work hard at university and concentrate on my objections. Because I have to study well and have to go every skill section in order to get the knowledge from teachers, according to that I can do will in my field trip. Another reason is when I finished my education in the UK, I will back to china, my home at there, my family at there and my friends at there. So I cannot give up this chance. Only I do well at this field trip, I have the opptunite work there in the future.

Second aspect is the university and teachers give us more chance to practice. We have Buzz and Coventry University newspaper, we have oppointie to write articles and do the interviewee. The university gives us the metaril and we can develop ourselves to make our own objects.

Last but not the least; the important one is my friends and family. They encouraged me lots and lots. I have very nice group mate they help me a lot, because I am Chinese and English is my second language. Sometimes I cannot understand very clearly at some areas. They are so patiently and give me lots and lots help. That let me know I have to work hard and do not loose mark on me. And my family gives me chance and money to here to study so I have to study hard.

Nowerdays, TV show become very hot in the media, people use one new style to find girlfriends, it is a new oppointute. However, looking at these shows how much percent is realy realy real, and how much percent there are some people make their own roles to act at these shows.
